Cardmaking: Guy Greetings
Join instructor Anna Geis at 5:30 pm on Thursday, May 16 to make three cards with a Father’s Day or masculine theme. Class fee is $7/person; all supplies provided. Please register online or call by May 14!
Device & Computer Workshop
Have questions about how to work your tablet or smartphone? Bring your device at 4:15 pm on Friday, May 31 and SPL’s Head of Technical Services will help you learn how to use it and answer any questions you may have.
Ongoing Opportunities
- Chair Yoga – Mondays at 4:30 pm. Physical therapist Dawn Seigneur will be here on Mondays at 4:30 pm to lead a class in chair yoga. Classes are $5.00 per person. Registration is not required. No class on May 27.
- Dungeons & Dragons Club – Tuesdays, May 14 and 28 at 4:30 pm. Please bring a 5th edition third-level character sheet if possible; pre-generated characters will also be available. New players, please register online.
- Fiber Arts Fiends – Wednesdays, May 1, 15, and 29 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Fiber artists of all levels invited to join!
- Seam Rippers Sewing Group – Wednesday, May 22 from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm. Bring a sewing project. Packed lunches welcome!
- Writers’ Group – Thursdays, May 2, 16, and 30 at 6:00 pm. Join freelance author Nathan Jacobs and other writers to discuss your work. All skill levels welcome!
- ChessNuts – Wednesdays at 5:00 pm. Play with other chess enthusiasts! Adults of all skill levels welcome.
- Swanton Historical Society – Fridays at 10:00 am. Anyone interested in joining or volunteering is welcome!

Board Report
At the Monday, April 15 Swanton Public Library Board Trustees meeting:
- Trustees approved Brunner and Sons to repair the roof and clean gutters.
- Trustees approved redistributing funds from building to furniture/equipment.
- The next Board meeting is Monday, May 20 at 7:00 pm. The public is welcome.
