Swanton Public Library offers a variety of services to help patrons access materials, use technology, complete everyday tasks, and connect with library resources.
From books and digital materials to printing, faxing, WiFi, community room use, archives, and outreach service, the library provides helpful resources for residents, families, students, and community members.

Borrowing Materials
Books and other library materials may be checked out for two weeks. Items that are already borrowed may be reserved for you.

Digital Materials
Swanton Public Library provides access to eBooks, digital video, and digital audiobooks that are available for free download.
Patrons can explore digital borrowing through The Ohio Digital Library.
Copies, Printing, and Faxing
Swanton Public Library offers photocopying, printing, and fax services.
Photocopies
Black and white copies are available for 15 cents per copy, per side. Color copies are available for 25 cents per copy, per side. Copies can be enlarged, reduced, and copied on both sides.
Printing
Printing is available for 15 cents per page for black and white and 25 cents per page for color.
Fax Services
Fax services are available for $3.00 for the first 20 pages. Each additional page after 20 is 15 cents. Faxes may also be received at the library for the same fee.

Community Room
Community room use is available for library and nonprofit functions. Parties are not permitted.
Reservations may be made up to two months in advance and require a signed form. Please call the library, or stop in for more information.
Ellison Dies
Ellison Dies are available for public use. The library owns several hundred dies that may be used for creative projects, classroom materials, displays, and more.
Please bring your own paper or materials.
Outreach Service
Outreach service is available for patrons who need books delivered to their home.

Archives and Research
Swanton Public Library provides access to microfilm and digital archives of the Swanton Enterprise from 1922 on.
Databases and online catalogs are also available from the library or from home with your library card.

Internet and WiFi
Swanton Public Library offers internet access through WiFi, five public access computers, and five laptops.
To use the library’s public computers or laptops, patrons must sign in at the front desk and have a valid library card. Computer use is guaranteed for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, patrons may continue using the computer if no one else is waiting.
Children ages 10 through 17 may use the library computers on their own only if a permission form has been signed in person at the library by a parent or guardian. Children under 10 must always be accompanied by an adult.
WiFi is available without a library card or sign-in. Patrons should bring their own device. WiFi passwords are available at the front desk.
Library staff are happy to help patrons access the internet, but they cannot provide in-depth computer training. Patrons interested in introductory computer classes are encouraged to let the library know.
